The Basic Package shown above is recommended for the Pinewood Derby teams that:
a) Do not require the advanced material in the large Physics of the Pinewood Derby book.
b) Have the ability to download and use Adobe Acrobat Reader to read and print the condensed pdf version of the yellow booklet Pinewood Derby Car design and the Virtual Race. The pdf version, called Measure Parameters for the Virtual Race, comes as part of the CD in 2) below.
The Basic Package consists of three main items:
1- (Top Left) The vernier calipers along with a template for transferring the Simple But Fast (SBF) car design to the wood block from the Pinewood Derby kit.
2- (Top Right) The THE VIRTUAL RACE AND GRAVITY DRIVEN CAR DESIGN CD that contains the Car Construction and Lubrication E-Book, the Measure Parameters E-Book, and the Gravity Driven Virtual Race program.
3)- (Bottom) The Speed Package containing all lubrication essentials.
